How to Take Care of Eyes Everyday

How to Take Care of Eyes Everyday

Taking care of our eyes is very important. You can easily protect your eyes by adopting daily eye care habits. Surprisingly, they are very convenient and easy to perform, but they are often overlooked. We are barraged daily with newspaper articles telling us to take care of our health, skin, hair, and feet, but little care is given to our eyes. And that's a shame given how much we rely on vision in our daily lives.

There are a few things that should be part of your daily routine to keep your eyes healthy and your eyes healthy.

Have a healthy diet

Eating a variety of fruits and vegetables, especially yellow and green leafy vegetables, can provide essential vitamins for healthy eyes. And fish is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, like tuna, salmon, and halibut, to provide essential vitamins and nutrients for your eyes.

Wear Sunglasses to Protect your eyes from the sun

Sun exposure can cause blindness and increase the risk of cataracts, age-related macular degeneration, corneal inflammation (keratitis), or bone growth. Wear these goggles to shelter your eyes.

Wash your hands before touching your eyes

This is important for everyone, but especially for those who wear contact lenses. Before touching the eyes, wash your hands with mild soap and dry them with a lint-free towel. This is because germs and bacteria that get into your eyes with your fingers can cause eye infections such as the pink eye and can even introduce colds and flu viruses into your body.

Limited to digital screens

Most people spend several hours a day using digital devices such as cell phones, tablets, and laptops. These devices emit high-energy blue light which, over time, can damage your eyes. Taking lutein and zeaxanthin can help your eyes filter out blue light. Rest every 20 minutes and wipe your eyes, focusing on an object 20 feet away for 20 seconds.

Stop smoking

Smoking is one of the main causes of vision problems such as macular degeneration and cataracts. Toxins inhaled while smoking is bad for mental health. For your brain to work properly, you need to quit smoking completely because smoking can damage your brain.
